The GE330 and the G530 are heavier versions of the Godex desktop label printers. They offer more space for a transfer ribbon and better usability in a variety of material thicknesses.

Printer Drivers:

The G530 is a 300 dpi direct thermal label printer that prints barcodes and tiny text. It also has a self-test page and label size calibration feature. It is ideal for small, lightweight labels.

The NetSetting software is used to manage the network configurations when connecting the printer via an Ethernet port. It is provided on the product CD or can be downloaded from the official website.

After installing the driver, a window will appear to copy the settings to the printer memory. Once the copy is complete, the new printer appears in the list of devices in Windows.

Godex provides a wide range of printer drivers and a free GoLabel label design and printing software that is designed to work with their printers. The label software is compatible with both Mac and Windows. It offers a 14-day trial and after that a one-time purchase or monthly subscription. The software is a perfect complement to the Godex G530 printer.

Interface Drivers:

Godex G530 is a versatile printer for light to medium-duty label printing applications. It offers high-tech power at a customer-friendly price. It can print on all types of specialty materials including woven and plastic labels. Its “Twin-Sensor Technology” ensures superior quality label prints on the first try.

These drivers communicate the status of the printer to the Windows Spooler and other Windows programs, like NiceLabel. This allows NiceLabel to obtain feedback from the printer and display it on-screen. The drivers can also support bidirectional communication, allowing the Windows Spooler and NiceLabel to send data back and forth between each other.

All GoDEX printers come with free GoLabel software, which supports all common 1D and 2D code formats. It includes complex field handling and simple database integration.

Drivers with Status Monitoring:

The Godex G530 is a high-tech label printer that offers a very wide range of applications at a very customer-friendly price. Whether you need a thermal direct or a thermal transfer barcode label printer, the G530 is a perfect choice.

True Windows printer drivers support Godex G530 printers and allow them to be used with any true Windows program, including our own BarTender barcode software for label design, printing, RFID encoding, and card printing. Drivers with status monitoring are able to report the printer and print job status back to the Windows Spooler, making it easier for the Windows application (including BarTender) to keep track of the state of the printing jobs. The status monitoring feature is available for both the thermal direct and thermal transfer printer models.

Drivers with Bidirectional Communication:

The Godex G530 printer comes with the free label design and printing software GoLabel. GoLabel supports all common 1D and 2D codes, complex field handling, and simple database integration. GoLabel is a very user-friendly and flexible software solution for label design and printing.

The G530 has a 300 DPI print resolution, ideal for labels with (small) barcodes and tiny text. The cheaper Godex DT2x and DT4x have a lower print resolution of 203 DPI.

NiceLabel driver can obtain feedback on the printer status and this information is reported to and displayed in NiceLabel software. This makes it easy to monitor the printer status, e.g. to detect an error situation.
